The Challenge
Prior to Bianca coming on board as Marketing Manager, The Old Nick Company’s Hobart Theatre Summer School was delivering strong artistic outcomes but lacked a cohesive, strategic marketing approach to consistently drive ticket sales and audience growth. There was a clear opportunity to build a repeatable framework that could cut through, grow audiences year-on-year and strengthen the long-term financial sustainability of the program.

what we did
Bianca designed and implemented a comprehensive social media marketing strategy, creating a scalable playbook that continues to underpin the program’s promotional approach. She also introduced a charity partnership model aligned to each production, deepening audience connection and extending impact beyond the stage, while establishing a new sponsorship stream that positioned the Summer School as a valuable partnership opportunity for local businesses and improved overall financial viability.
The Buzz
The impact was immediate, with ticket sales increasing by over 90% in the first year following Bianca’s appointment and continuing to grow in subsequent seasons. The charity initiative has since raised over $16,800 for organisations including the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute, Make-A-Wish Australia, Hobart Women's Shelter and Feel the Magic, embedding purpose into the program’s DNA. Combined with new sponsorship revenue, the Summer School has evolved into a more sustainable, community-connected model with growing reach, impact and long-term viability.
Bianca is professional, understanding and professional in her dealings with our team. She creates wonderful content that not only meets, but exceeds our expectations, from social media content, fundraising packages, marketing campaigns and graphic design work"– Mark Holmes, President, The Old Nick Company
